The Pool Stays!

Three swims yesterday and it’s confirmed. The pool has graduated to become a long term fixture. After the temperature in these parts hovering at around 27° over the last week, I’m officially waiving that 90 day trial period.

Yes

All praise to the resident Pool Boy (that would be Favorite Stepson) for his diligent brushing and vacuuming.

I would write more, but laptops and pools are a bad combination. A glass of wine and a pool on the other hand… Back later.

  1. “[…] glasses of wine and pools…”
    — are great party mixers?
    — are one way to remember how to swim?
    — raises the question, ‘wouldn’t it be AWESOME if Jesus were to drop by?’?

    • Sukalati, I really don’t think chlorinated water is a good basis for alcoholic beverage miracles.

  2. Hi Chrissy
Sorry with the delay in getting back to you, kids….
    Ok water gage for tank
A float such as empty milk ot tonic bottle ( G & Ts by pools are excellent)
    Strong fishing line
A weight such as smaller plastic bottle with sand in it
Drill a hole near the top of the tank
Tread the line through and secure to the float
On outside secure weight to amount of line around length of tank
As weight goes up amount of water is less
Not accurate to the litre but gives a good idea
    Xx

    • Thank you, so lovely of you to remember. Sounds great. OK, will commence compulsory G&T consumption (pretty sure I should empty a few extra tonic bottles in case of ???? I don’t know… something happening to the first one?). 🙂

  3. Oh ment to say
    Good decision on pool
Get another tank to supply it and garden
We have three and a garden one off the shed
Worth the cost in the long run x

    • More tanks is always a good plan. We are lucky enough to have all our troughs and outside taps (including the pool fill tap) running off the stream, but I still plan more tanks — you can never have too much stored water.
