Up at the farmlet last\u00a0weekend there was\u00a0a new scent in the air. Intrigued I followed my nose to the\u00a0source and found this:<\/p>\n

Orange blossom<\/p><\/div>\n

It’s a\u00a0blossom on one of our 31 orange trees. Did I mention that we have a grove of 31 orange trees? Well, we do, and very pretty it\u00a0smells just now.<\/p>\n

It sounds good too. Our bees<\/a> are still in Auckland, but someone around here has Italians, and the orange trees are buzzing. Hundreds of bees doing what needs to be done to make oranges happen\u00a0next winter.<\/p>\n

A pretty Italian bee, but she’s not one of ours.<\/p><\/div>\n

Bet orange nectar honey tastes amazing too. I can’t wait until blossom time next year when the girls from our bee hive\u00a0will be humming around\u00a0out there. Go the bees!<\/p>\n
