Deborah lounges poolside pre-swim.<\/p><\/div>\n

After a couple of hours painting the roof Deborah and I decided we were\u00a0warm enough for a swim.\u00a0On reflection this may have been delusional thinking induced by paint fumes and altitude.<\/p>\n

\"Pool<\/a>

Yup, that water is 13 degrees.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Deborah<\/a>

And there she goes. Best keep moving Deborah so as not to ice up.<\/p><\/div>\n

I\u00a0swam too, very briefly. The water was so cold that it hurt, and after two lengths I swear hypothermia had started to set in.<\/p>\n

So, I wonder, can Deborah and I\u00a0keep swimming right through winter? Plans\u00a0for a rudimentary solar pool-water heating system are working their way to the top of our wish list. Any bright ideas?<\/p>\n
