Darling Daughter arrived at the farmlet last night. I knew she’d be hoping for a Christmas tree, but I hadn’t been organised enough. So this morning we went tree hunting.<\/p>\n

Off to hunt trees in The Strip<\/a>.<\/p><\/div>\n

There were quite a few options on the western boundary. Small pines that were planted way too close together and need thinning. Perfect!<\/p><\/div>\n

Maisie got bored and tried to speed things up. From her point of view all trees are just very large sticks.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a>

After some deliberation a suitable\u00a0candidate was selected.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a>

And the lucky (?) tree was marked with… wait for it… bailing twine<\/a>.<\/p><\/div>\n

The Forbearing Husband was dispatched with the\u00a0chainsaw, and presently he returned triumphant.<\/p><\/div>\n

It’s never going to make it into Homes and Gardens<\/em>, but as far as use of local\u00a0resource we’re winning all the way.<\/p><\/div>\n
