One year ago today we moved onto the farmlet.<\/p>\n

Ours now!<\/p><\/div>\n

Last night, us residents celebrated with fish and chips. The Forbearing Husband suggested this meal. He sold it as commemorating the pioneering spirit of those who left\u00a0the city, knowing not what\u00a0quality of takeaway food\u00a0they might encounter. He does have a tendency toward the melodramatic.<\/p>\n

Fortunately for all concerned the local chippy\u00a0puts on a good show. All but for the potato fritters, which are sad\u00a0reconstituted packet versions. Never mind, the overall F&C quality is\u00a0consistently fabulous.<\/p>\n

Thank goodness, otherwise it’s possible\u00a0the Forbearing Husband would have trucked himself straight back to Auckland.<\/p>\n

Here’s to the start of Year Two.<\/p>\n
