[This post was scheduled for last Monday, but lack of internet in town has caused a few delays.]<\/em><\/p>\n

When I woke up on Saturday morning I could see\u00a0horses from my bedroom window. My horses!<\/p>\n

Bless their little cotton socks, they walked onto the Majestic<\/a> truck at 7am on Friday as if they do\u00a0it\u00a0every day of their lives (for those readers who don’t own horses, this is the equine equivalent of\u00a0your car flying through its WOF on the first pass). Kerry, the\u00a0driver, exuding\u00a0the\u00a0calm\u00a0competent energy that\u00a0is the signature of an experienced horseman, buckled them in (so to speak) and off they went.\u00a0I believe I may have heard the faint strains of ‘The Wheels on the Bus’<\/a><\/em> as the truck\u00a0moved away. That would have been Summer. Bonnie is more your\u00a0Public Enemy<\/a>\u00a0sort of pony.<\/p>\n

By 10am we were all at the farmlet. Yours truly\u00a0having raced Kerry up State Highway One — while of course adhering\u00a0to the speed limit at all times. As the horses settled into their\u00a0paddock of grassy goodness and munched on a few flakes of hay I tried for photos, getting, as usual,\u00a0mainly this:<\/p>\n

All in all, despite equine non-compliance with management’s photocall requests, a most delightfully successful\u00a0day.<\/p>\n
