GP says it will probably survive. Succession lime (Tahitian) was planted north side of Top Paddock shelter belt in September 2016.<\/li>\n<li>Kaffir Lime x 1: First was planted near the chicken run August 2016 and subsequently destroyed in July 2017 by a falling shelter belt tree. A replacement is in the garden at House Kragbol.<\/li>\n<li>Figs x 2:\u00a0The third fig,\u00a0which was\u00a0planted right <a href=\"http:\/\/www.charmedlife.co.nz\/cowboybootsandbrokenfingers\/rain-on-the-mediterranean\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">next to the deck<\/a>\u00a0about 3 feet\u00a0from CEDARS\u00a0house, was removed by DFM in August 2016, and re-removed after it grew back by SB and RWC.<\/li>\n<li>Pears x 2<\/li>\n<li>Apples x 1: The older one by the orange grove looks in very poor condition, HB\u00a0says ditch it and start again (we waited a while, but it has subsequently been removed as it didn&#8217;t recover). A replacement, planted July 2016 on\u00a0east side of\u00a0chicken run is a Captain Kidd.<\/li>\n<li>Plums x 3: The \u2018<em>Louisa\u2019<\/em>\u00a0is young and in\u00a0good condition,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.charmedlife.co.nz\/cowboybootsandbrokenfingers\/baling-twine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>&#8216;Whomping Plum&#8217;<\/em><\/a> is looking very\u00a0sad, a Billington&#8217;s Early was planted July 2019 alongside the others.<\/li>\n<li>Guavas yellow x 1<\/li>\n<li>Guava red x 1<\/li>\n<li>Olive x 1<\/li>\n<li>Feijoas x 9<\/li>\n<li>Pomegranate x 1 (not yet old enough to fruit, but identified by CRW). After 3 years of no fruit we wonder whether it is an ornamental pomegranate. If so its days are numbered.<\/li>\n<li>Banana palm x 1 (ex- Uncle F, Riddell Road Banana Republic). Suffered from frost damage 2016 and 2017, but doing better in 2018 since removal of the two large cypress that were shading it in the morning. Fruited for the first time Summer 2018\/19.<\/li>\n<li>Loquat x 5: Two were on property when we arrived \u2014 one in chicken run, one next to Tiny<a href=\"http:\/\/www.charmedlife.co.nz\/cowboybootsandbrokenfingers\/a-tiny-tale-part-one-the-purchase\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tiny<\/a>. We planted an additional three in August 2019 between CEDARS and Kragbol\u2019s. Of these latest three one closest to the shelter belt is Thames Pride, the other two are Kaitaia Gold.<\/li>\n<li>Macadamias x 2 (both chain-sawed\u00a0to the ground by B-Ps, but starting to make a come-back)<\/li>\n<li><del>Tamarillo x 1 (yellow variety, was\u00a0hit hard\u00a0by frost in the 2015\u00a0winter)<\/del> RIP 2016.<\/li>\n<li><del>Kumquat x 1<\/del> (removed 2016, cute looking but useless to eat)<\/li>\n<li>Persimmon x 1: Being crowded out by the shelter belt in the chicken run, but freed by CB in August 2016 from the Totara seedlings that were also encroaching on it. Update 2018: looking healthier, but seems unlikely to fruit given lack of sun under shelter belt. Maybe replace. Persimmon destroyed by a falling shelter belt tree August 2019.<\/li>\n<li><del>Cherimoya x 1 (between old bean fence and the Bottom Paddock fence, near fig tree).<\/del> Removed 2018 as not thriving, and leaning on wire fencing.<\/li>\n<li>Avocado (Hass) planted in the clearing August 2019. Hopes are high for its survival and plentiful fruiting in years to come.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other random fruiting plants:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><del>Grapevines x 2.<\/del> One had to be removed for fencing in Bottom Paddock. The other in the chicken run never fruited as shaded out by feijoa trees.<\/li>\n<li>Passionfruit vine x 4. One near feijoas in chicken area, not getting much sun and little fruit. Three more planted 2017 against swimming pool fence on CEDARS house\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.charmedlife.co.nz\/cowboybootsandbrokenfingers\/the-nom-nom-lawn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nom-Nom lawn<\/a>.
